General and Child Protection; and Gender Based Violence (GBV)
In providing protection to children and women ACR provides the following services:
- Family tracing and reunification of children who have been separated by war or conflict
- Creating child friendly space for children to play and interact with each other besides playing games in readiness for school.
- Prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA) through creating of awareness to the community
- Creating women friendly space for managing GBV cases
- Raising awareness on child abuse e.g. physical emotional, sexual and psychological
- Crating awareness on harmful cultural practices e.g. early forces marriages, cultural markings, child labour, child trafficking and abduction, child soldiers
- Provision of Non-food items for returnees and internally displaced persons (IDPs)
- Provision of sanitation materials e.g. plastic sheets and poles
- Training returnees and host communities on peace for peaceful co-existence; prevention of PSEA and gender-based violence
